COOL BITES

Up the cute factor! Use cookie cutters to cut fun shapes in your kids' sandwich..

Hi  there! as we promise, here's this one unique recipe that surely you and your kids will enjoy!

CHEESY PINE FILLING
234g can of DEL MONTE Crushed Pineapple, drained
2 cups grated quickmelt cheese

What to do:
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl; mix well
2. Store in a covered container and chill. Use as a sandwich spead when needed.
Makes 10 servings.

DAING CON SALSA

YOU WILL NEED
1/2 kg daing na labahita, cut into large squares
3 tbsp DEL MONTE Red Cane Vinegar
8 cloves garlic crushed
1 pc medium onion, sliced
3 pc small potatoes, sliced
1 pouch (250 g) DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce
2 pc laurel leaves
1 pc medium red bell pepper, cut into cubes
1/4 cup cooked/frozen green peas
4 stalks green onions, cut into 1” strips
HERE'S HOW
1 SOAK daing in 3 cups water with 1 tbsp of DEL MONTE Vinegar for 15 minutes. Change vinegar solution 3 times. Drain. Boil daing in 3 cups water for 5 minutes. Drain. Remove bones.

2 SAUTÉ garlic, onion and potatoes. Add DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, daing, laurel leaves, 3/4 cup water and sugar to taste. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add bell peppers, green peas and green onions. Simmer once.

CHEESY MACARONI

YOU WILL NEED
2 tbsp margarine
200 g DEL MONTE Elbow Macaroni
1 pouch (250 g) DEL MONTE Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce
1/3 cup evaporated milk
100 g quickmelt cheese, coarsely grated
HERE'S HOW
1 MELT margarine in pan. Add DEL MONTE Elbow Macaroni, DEL MONTE Spaghetti Sauce, 2/3 tsp iodized fine salt (or 2 tsp iodized rock salt) and 1/8 tsp pepper. Cook while stirring for 5 minutes.

2 ADD 2 cups water. Allow to boil, then simmer for 12 minutes. Stir in milk and cheese. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until cheese melts.

GRILLED SANDWICH PIZZA

YOU WILL NEED
1 pack (500 g) sliced bread
2 pouches (115 g each) DEL MONTE Sweet Style Pizza Sauce
100 g quickmelt cheese, sliced thinly into 16 pieces
2 pc eggs, beaten
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
HERE'S HOW
1 SPREAD 8 pieces of sliced bread with 1 tbsp each of DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce. Top each with 2 slices of cheese. Cover with another slice of bread. Set aside.

2 COMBINE remaining DEL MONTE Pizza Sauce with egg and 1/8 tsp iodized fine salt (or dash of iodized rock salt). Mix well. Dip bread (do not soak) in pizza sauce mixture. Grill in pan with 1/2 tbsp margarine or butter until light brown. Flip to cook other side. Cut diagonally into 2.

BREAD & DIP

YOU WILL NEED
1 can (365 g) DEL MONTE Spaghetti Meat Sauce
10 pc sliced bread, each piece cut into 4 triangles
1/2 cup coarsely grated quickmelt cheese

COATING

1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 pc egg, beaten
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp snipped parsley
HERE'S HOW
1 COATING: Dissolve flour in 1/4 cup water. Add 1/4 cup of DEL MONTE Spaghetti Meat Sauce and remaining ingredients. Mix well. Set aside.

2 DIP (do not soak) each bread slice in coating mixture just enough to dampen both sides. Fry until just browned turning only once. Drain on paper towels. Set aside.

3 HEAT remaining DEL MONTE Spaghetti Meat Sauce with cheese. Simmer until cheese melts. Serve as dip for bread slices.
